Paiya, south blockbuster waiting for Bollywood release

Chennai: Bollywoodhas been eyeing on the south movies churned out in various regional languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam since the very outset. Their subjects appeal to the Hindi filmmakers a lot that they cannot hold themselves anymore to work on them. Sometime they work buying the rights making the official remakes and sometimes they just copy the subjects. In a capsule, south movies are quite churned out in Bollywood. Recently we witnessed the flicks like Ganjini, Ready, Bodyguard, Singham and Wanted etc which were the remakes of the south movies.
In these films, which were successful in south, turned blockbusters in Hindi scene as well. The superstars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan worked in these films and their success graph shot to huge fame after these movies became blockbusters.
It shows, Bollywood relies heavily on south films’ subjects to produce the blockbusters. Even recently we heard that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan were trying to buy the rights of some regional movies to produce the films on.
But, guess, the Bollywood filmmakers forgot to eye on a top notch regional film for turning into Hindi language. And this film is none other than Paiya. If this film is remade in Bollywood, it will certainly get gold for the Bollywood makers, as per the film pundits. And it seems that the film is now going to be made in Hindi cinema. The director of the south movie Linguswamy is hopeful to make it in Hindi. As per the reports, he was waiting for the leading actor of the orginial film Surya to play the main lead in Bollywood remake but Surya is quite busy with his endless amount of assignments in south. Taking time out for him seems much difficult this time around. Thus it was reported that Linguswamy has dropped the idea to make the film in Hindi and moved to churn out films in Tamil with UTV banner.
If not Surya, then who will play the main lead in Hindi version if the film is churned out? The film made 50 crores in Tamil version, 20 crores in international market and 20 crores in Telugu.
