Kareena, Saif and Genelia, Riteish: Wedding bells jingling loud

Bollywood is a special world where every ritual, ceremony, death or birth are celebrated, grieved or hailed with equal exuberance with the entire country joining in for the chorus. Only a few weeks back, India was holding its breath for the auspicious delivery of Aishwarya Rai’s baby (now a proud girl christened as ‘Beti B’) and then plunged into a collective grief with the death of the evergreen Dev Anand.
And now, it is the time to sing along with ‘Band Baaja Baraat’ as wedding bells chime for some of the much-loved couples of our filmistaan. Genelia D’Souza and Riteish Deshmukh, who have been silently romancing ever since their ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ days, are all set to tie the nuptial knot. Meanwhile, the saucyKareena Kapoor shall also be walking the aisle with beau Saif Ali Khan with panache and ‘Tashan’ this summer. It would be a really joyous occasion for Saif’s family especially after the heart-shattering loss of father Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi last year.
Coming back to Genelia & Riteish, the two must be running a hectic schedule as their wedding day is perilously close with 5th February as the wedding date (as per reports). That’s less than a month to go and then there are ritualistic ceremonies of ‘Mehendi’ and ‘sangeet’ preceding the ‘7 pheras’. Mehendi and sangeet are scheduled for the 3rd & 4th of February but since only close ones shall be invited, you need not get hyper excited.
But the Bollywood brigade will definitely get into action with a mass attendance expected on the reception event of 6th February (the day following the wedding day). A dream wedding is surely on the cards!
Meanwhile, though the official date of Saif-Kareena’s wedding hasn’t been decided yet, we can expect the wedding somewhere around March-April immediately after the release of their film ‘Agent Vinod’.
